We heard the heartbeat today!!! This was our second prenatal appointment and we had been anticipating this day since the beginning! All we wanted to hear was a healthy strong heartbeat and that is exactly what we got! The link below is a recording from the appointment with Baby's heartbeat, please excuse my obnoxious excitement as I could barley believe what I was hearing! I was very nervous before the appointment for many reasons obviously, but most of all was because at the previous appointment the doctor said I had an inverted uterus. She said it could be very difficult to hear the heartbeat because it makes it even further away from the surface. I was also only 11 weeks along and that can still be early to hear the heartbeat. She was preparing us not to freak out if we did not hear it, but I was already freaking out! So she gooped up my stomach and placed the tiny doppler on there and immediately we heard this pounding rapid heartbeat!!! Justin said I asked the Doc if it could be something else in my stomach because I was in such disbelief and Dr. Grounds said, "If you have something other than a baby beating 165 beats per minute in your tummy then we have serious problems!" The doctor said we have a very cooperative baby and we should have a no problem pregnancy!
